CONSULTATION ON WEST YORKSHIRE’S THREE-YEAR TRANSPORT PLANS UNDERWAY

People across West Yorkshire are now being invited to give their opinions on a draft plan that will set out West Yorkshire’s transport priorities for the next three years.

Following on from last year’s consultation on the full, 15-year West Yorkshire Local Transport Plan, the three-year Implementation Plan outlines spending priorities for the next three years, from April 2011.

Priorities include schemes suggested by local communities, as well as the provision of bus priority schemes on main roads into town and city centres, major maintenance of roads across West Yorkshire, cycling and walking schemes, and the development larger schemes such as new rail stations and the NGT trolleybus network.
