Cookridge Methodist Scout Group brightened up Cookridge by washing the street name signs, as part of the National Scout Community Week 14th – 20th May 2012.

It was encouraging to see a group of young people working to improve their local community. It’s terrific to see a group of young people being so community-spirited and doing something to improve the appearance of their local neighbourhood. A simple thing like cleaning the local street signs has made a real impact on the area and my thanks go to Cookridge Methodist Scout Group for their great work and positive attitude. I welcome and support any action from local people that can make a positive difference to the local area. Hopefully more young people will follow this example and think about how they can help their community too.
