NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING – AN UPDATE

I refer to pervious emails and articles about the Neighbourhood Planning process that was part of central Government initiatives and part of the Localism Act that was recently passed in Parliament.

At the meeting of the Council’s Executive Board today they presented 3 papers for consideration The first was an outline report setting out the management support and protocol arrangements for developing a Neighbourhood Plan and also the role the Council will be taking. The weblink for the first paper is:

The second document was the Neighbourhood Planning guidance document which sets out various points and explanations about the process, the link to this document is:

The third document sets out indicative costs to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan and the weblink for this is:

The indicative costs may vary if you are considering developing your own Neighbourhood Plan as it will depend on whether you use any external consultants.

I trust this information is of interest to the potential development of a Neighbourhood Plan in your locality.
