I refer to previous website entries and I can confirm that I met representatives from David Wilson Homes on site last week with the Leeds City Council planner and Dr. Barrie Hopson, Chairman of the Adel Association. As a result of this meeting the developer confirmed they had constructed 3 sample walls to demonstrate the building materials they would be willing to use on the properties to be built on the site.
One of the conditions that resulted from the planning application was that David Wilson Homes agreed to consult with residents before deciding on the final stone type to be used. If you would like to have an input into this decision can I suggest that you visit Holt Avenue and decide which stone type you prefer and let me know. The three stone types, when viewed from the roadside are as follows:
- Left – Marshalls Fine Faced Split Faced Buff
- Middle – Forticrete Olde Heather Gold Split Faced
- Right – Forticrete Olde Heather Gold Pitched Faced
You can just let me know Left, Middle or Right.
Can you let me know by 16th September at the latest, your preferred option.
I have also been advised of the following by Leeds Planning Department:
“The developer has been advised that they can not commence ground works until the protective fencing for the trees is up. If you or any local residents notice JCBs etc on site during the week commencing the 10th, I would be grateful if you could advise me of this. “
I trust this keeps you up to date with matters that may be of interest to you and I look forward to receiving your views as to your preferred option.
