The first meeting of the Cookridge & Adel Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators took place at the end of January in the Adel Memorial Hall. It was well attended and although I chaired the meeting the Police and the Coordinators will be setting the agendas for the future meetings. All information to coordinators will come through the Police. The aim of these meetings is to improve communications between the Neighbourhood Watch coordinators and the Police and to impart information to the coordinators which they can use in their areas to pass on to residents.
There are more coordinators needed in all areas and if your street currently does not have a Neighbourhood Watch coordinator and you would like to get involved you can obtain advice and guidance from the Police and I will be happy to pass your details to them.
It was agreed that the meetings would be held quarterly and the next one will be towards the end of April.
