As part of BT’s delivery of Superfast Broadband within the Alwoodley/Bramhope area they have identified multiple sections of duct on their network along Stairfoot Lane which are either blocked or congested meaning it is not possible to insert the new cables through the existing ducting, therefore the only option available is to install a new line of duct, in doing so, due to the width of this road it would not be possible nor would it be safe to allow traffic through, although North Midland Construction who are the contractor carrying out the work have stated they will have road plates readily available on site to allow access to any properties where required.
