At a meeting of the Outer North West Community Committee on 8th December there was some hope for the future of Rosemont Sheltered Housing Complex.
I welcome the update given at the Outer North West Community Committee meeting from Chief Officer, Housing. She reiterated that she apologised unreservedly for the problems caused to the residents and confirmed that no decision had been made yet. She also confirmed that an independent architect had been appointed to assess all options for the future of Rosemont.
No specific timetable has been set yet. She also confirmed that there would be a full consultation carried out with residents starting afresh and also with other interested parties.
I am very pleased that this assurance has been given and that the residents can have peace of mind over the Christmas period before any further consultation is held and any decisions following that consultation are made.
