I recently asked for an update on the proposals to close the GP Surgery at Holt Park as I had not heard anything following the public consultation. I receive the following response from the Assistant Contract Manager, NHS England (Yorkshire & Humber):
“As yet no decision has been made on either the proposal for Abbey MP and Moor Grange to merge or the proposal from Abbey MP to withdraw their services from Holt Park Health Centre.
The practice have, as requested by NHS England, summarised the feedback received during the consultation period and have, as requested by attendees at the public meetings, shared the individual survey responses with us; the responses have now been returned to the practice for safe keeping.
The summarised feedback has been shared with colleagues at NHS Leeds West CCG and any comments they have will be incorporated into a paper going to our Direct Commissioning Management Team meeting in March when we hope a decision either way can be made.
I have also met recently with members of the local community to receive their petition against the proposals relating to primary care services at Holt Park –again details of this will also be included in the paper.
We will confirm as soon as possible once a decision has been reached or update further should the matter not be concluded in March.”
