SUPERFAST BROADBAND

Superfast West Yorkshire aims to improve both the access to and take up of superfast broadband in their intervention area. This is funded by the five local authorities (Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford),  BDUK and the EU, the project aims to increase better broadband to 97% of the intervention area in West Yorkshire. The rollout will be completed by September 2015.

Superfast Broadband delivers faster broadband speeds through the use of fibre optic cabling rather than copper cabling. There are a number of benefits to both residents and businesses. You can check on availability and prices by using the postcode checker at www.get-fibre.co.uk.

A number of residents will be able to access faster broadband and in many cases superfast broadband. If you are interested in upgrading you need to contact your Internet Service Provider to upgrade to superfast broadband as it does not happen automatically.
