“Following on from the recent flooding, I wanted to make you aware of a Flood Fair event taking place in Leeds city centre, Victoria Gardens and Leeds Town Hall, next week.
This event has been organised by the Flood Advisory Service and Garforth Flood Support Group, with some support from Leeds City Council.
The event will offer advice and support, feature demonstrations on preventative measures and include a number of presentations and panels. We will also have representatives present who can advise on the financial schemes being offered by the Council to affected residents and businesses.
A draft programme of the presentations being organised by Garforth Flood Support Group for the event is also attached for information, and we will circulate a final programme early next week.
Some Councillor and LCC officer involvement has been requested and we will be contacting individuals separately about their availability to be involved.”
