NUISANCE CALLS – CALL BLOCKING DEVICES – OUTCOME REPORT

West Yorkshire Trading Standards and Safer Communities Leeds have recently evaluated the usefulness of call blocking technology as part of their project aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of people affected by nuisance calls. Some statistics gathered during the evaluation include 89% of people saying they now feel safer in their own homes; 84% say they no longer feel intimated by sales calls; 95% say the majority of their callers now are people they know; 9 out of 10 people saw a reduction in the number of nuisance calls.
