HIGHWAYS SAFETY WORK – COOKRIDGE

I have recently been advised that the Council are introducing various road safety works in the Cookridge area. I have described these below:

  1. Outside of Holy Trinity Primary School there will be a humped zebra crossing with tactile paving at either side.
  2. 20mph zone throughout the area that is enclosed by Tinshill Road at one side and Moseley Wood Gardens, Woodhill Road and its offshoots and Cookridge Lane at the other.
  3. Kirkwood Drive at its junction with Green Lane will have “No waiting at any time double yellow lines”.
  4. Kirkwood Drive at its junction with Tinshill Road will have “No waiting at any time double yellow lines”.
  5. At the parade of shops at the top of Tinshill Road and outside nos. 30 to 34 Tinshill Road there will be “No waiting at any time double yellow lines”.
  6. Moseley Wood Approach at its junction with Tinshill Road will have “No waiting at any time double yellow lines”.

I can also confirm that the Councillors have paid for two Speed Indicator Devices (Smiley Face) in the area, one for Green Lane and the other for Tinshill Road. Exact locations are still to be agreed in conjunction with Highways officers and the police.

If you would like electronic copies of any of the plans mentioned in 1 to 6 above, let me know.
