Please see the below crime update for Adel and Wharfedale ward over the past 7 days;
At around 0930 hours on the 6th February there was an attempt burglary on Wrenbury Grove, Cookridge where the suspects tried to kick through a door to gain entry. They were unsuccessful and made off, there is an ongoing enquiry in to this offence.
Between the 3rd and the 7th February there was a burglary to a garage on Kingsley Drive, entry was forced and a bike and tools were stolen.
On the 8th February there was an attempt burglary on Moseley Wood Grove where the suspects attempted to force a lock on the patio door but were unsuccessful.
At 0200 hours on the 8th February there was a burglary on Adel Park Croft where a door chain was forced on an insecure door, it appears that no entry was gained in to the house.
Between the 8th and 9th Of February a van on Tinshill Road was broken in to by forcing the doors. Property was stolen from the van.
At around 1300 hours on the 10th February there was an attempt burglary on Parklands Gate, Bramhope. The property is under renovation and the suspects arrived in a van, they looked in a skip before looking into the property and then tried to force entry to steal goods from inside. There is a good line of enquiry in relation to this crime and it is being investigated. Once again, please be vigilant in Bramhope and report and suspicious vehicles to the Police via 101 and note down registrations.
At 1525 hours on the 10th February there was a burglary on Chestnut Drive, Adel where the suspects smashed glass in the patio to gain entry, they were disturbed and made off.
At 1930 hours on the 10th February there was a burglary on Mavis Lane, Cookridge where the suspect entered through an insecure door. Once inside they picked up a handbag and car key, the homeowner heard them and they were disturbed. The suspect ran from the address with the car key and got in to a dark coloured car that was waiting.
