The residents in the Holtdales estate are to benefit from grant funding of £9300 for fencing to prevent parking on grass verges which is causing an unsightly mess. The Housing Officers for the Holtdales bid for the money from the Housing Advisory Panel (HAP) and their bid was successful following the HAP meeting on Monday 12th February.
I am extremely pleased that the Housing officers have secured this money to help in the battle against grass verge damage. The fencing will be for Holtdale Lawn and Holtdale Road both of which have suffered damage constantly.
It will be the knee high post and rail type fencing which is very effective at stopping this problem. When I do the walkabouts with the Housing officers we see this all the time and no sooner is it repaired than it happens again. This will be money well spent.
This will make such a difference to the environment for the residents of Holtdale Lawn and Holtdale Road.
