I have received the information below in respect of city centre road closures on Saturday 24th March.

SATURDAY 24th MARCH 2018

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES ORDER 2018 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council has today made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847. The effect of the Order is that the roads specified in the Schedules hereto will be closed to vehicles in sequence between 10:45 hours and 15:00 hours on Saturday 24th March 2018 to facilitate crowd control for the Stop Brexit Great Northern March and Rally.

SCHEDULE 1 – THE PROCESSION 

The march will assemble at Victoria Gardens / The Headrow and proceed by 12:00 hours via Park Row, City Square, Boar Lane, New Market Street, Vicar Lane and The Headrow, before returning to Victoria Gardens.

Each road will be closed in turn by way of a rolling closure as the march proceeds and the Police will be in attendance to control this.  Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

SCHEDULE 2 – ASSOCIATED CLOSURES

To allow for the associated rally it is necessary to close The Headrow between Calverley Street and Cookridge Street between 10:45 hours and 15:00 hours on Saturday 24th March 2018.
