ECCUP 10 RUNNING RACE – SUNDAY 1ST JULY – TRAFFIC ORDER UPDATE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leeds City Council, as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District, has today made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as inserted by Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994, prohibiting the use of certain roads by vehicles to facilitate the holding of the Eccup 10 Running Race on Sunday 1 July 2018.

The event will require the closure of the roads shown in the Schedule below. Where necessary local diversions will be in operation, signed as appropriate.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule (whilst the road closure is in place).

The Order comes into effect on Sunday 1 July 2018 and will continue in force between 0900 hours and 1200 hours.

The Order will not at any time prevent access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the Order relates, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, any such road.

A copy of the Order as made, a map showing the sections of highway to be closed and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available for inspection at Leeds City Council, Legal Services, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR and at Moor Allerton Library, Moor Allerton Centre, King Lane, LS17 5NY and Holt Park Library, Ralph Thoresby High School, Holtdale Approach, LS16 7RX.

Alwoodley Lane East-bound lane only from its junction with King Lane to its junction with Goodrick Lane. Two-way traffic flow will be maintained along this length.
