COOKRIDGE VILLAGE HALL – GRANT FUNDING SUCCESSFUL FOR IMPROVED CAR PARK SURFACE

At a meeting of the Outer North West Area Committee on Monday 25th June, a grant application for £5000 from the Cookridge Village Hall Association for improvements to the car park surface and drainage work was successful.

I am pleased that the Village Hall in Cookridge has been successful with their application. The aim of this project is to improve the surface of the car park and improve the drainage. This work is a priority for them as the current surface is disintegrating, causing flooding. The Village Hall is really well used and they do have a reasonable sized car park which is a bonus for any visitors to the Hall. It will be very welcome to have a new surface and decent drainage.

It is really important that all of our very valuable community assets are kept in good order so that they can continue to be used for years to come. Cookridge Village Hall is at the heart of the community in Cookridge and well used and well loved by many people so it is important that we are able to support them in this way.
