PLANNING APPLICATION 18/06624/FU – YORK GATE – ALTERATIONS AND EXTENSION TO EXISTING DWELLINGS AND CONVERSION TO FACILITIES;LANDSCAPING OF GARDENS TO LINK WITH YORK GATE GARDEN; IMPROVEMENTS TO DRIVEWAY AND PARKING

I have been notified of the following:

Planning Application Number:        18/06624/FU

Proposal:   Alterations and extension to existing dwelling and conversion to facilities; landscaping of gardens to link with York Gate garden; improvements to driveway and parking together with demolition of existing garage and removal of wall and railings to the rear of the house | York Gate Cottage Back Church Lane.

In precis the proposal is for new pedestrian access, new gates and new pedestrian path nearer to the access to York Gate Cottage. The existing access will no longer be used. York Gate Cottage access will be widened to allow for vehicles to go in and out easily. There will be new dry stone walls at either side of the new driveway. The existing double garage at York Gate cottage will be demolished.

Once you get on to the site via the car entrance there will be two disabled spaces immediately to the left, then bike stands for 14 bikes. The new car park will be further on and will comprise of various different parking areas on the right and the left and on different types of surfaces. In total there will be 55 car park spaces including 28 that will be classed as overflow car parking. The car park areas will be immediately adjacent to the land occupied by Headingley Golf Club.
