Leeds City Council consulted on a Draft Hot Food Takeaway SPD for 6 weeks from 18th July until 4:30pm 29th August 2017. The Supplementary Planning Document provides further clarification on how current LCC planning policies can protect against all types of adverse impacts created by HFTs. Once adopted, the HFT SPD will form part of Leeds’ Local Plan and will carry weight when the Council makes decisions on planning applications. It expands upon existing policies found in the adopted Core Strategy and Unitary Development Plan.
Comments made during the public consultation in 2017 have been taken into account in producing the revised document. The Consultation Statement (along with report of consultation) lists all comments along with any changes made as a result, where applicable.
Leeds City Council is now making the Draft Hot Food Takeaway SPD (incorporating changes made as a result of the consultation), along with the Consultation Statement available for any further comments for 6 weeks.
The public consultation extends from Monday 26th November until 5:00pm Monday 7th January 2019.
