DEMENTIA INFORMATION ROAD SHOW

See below, which may be of interest to you, a friend, neighbour or relative.

“We would like to invite you, and ask for your help to promote, our Dementia Information Roadshow.  This is taking place on Wednesday 1st May at Otley Courthouse from 1-4pm.  This event is part of a series that is taking place across the local authority area over this year.

The aim of the roadshows is to take helpful and important messages to local people, about what dementia is, how to seek diagnosis and help, and what happens when you do.  We want to make it easier for people to talk about dementia, challenge the stigma and myths, and offer hope for people and carers living with the condition.  The speakers include NHS specialists and local providers of help and support.  Leeds City Council are organising the roadshow, in partnership with the NHS, Alzheimer’s Society, Carers Leeds and Otley Action for Older People.

Attached are the flyer and poster which have been produced for the event on the 1st May.  I would be grateful if you could promote the event at your surgeries and through your networks as you feel appropriate.”
