I have received notice as follows in respect of Highways work in the Ward, and other areas:
“Further to [previous emails], due to inclement weather the works listed on the notice previously provided did not go ahead due to inclement weather.
A Temporary Order is therefore to be made as attached, which will allow each set of works to be carried out as and what they are programmed.
Please note that letter drops will be carried out to notify residents and local businesses prior to the commencement of actual work dates.
Advanced courtesy boards will also be placed on site in advance of works commencement.
All works are expected to be completed by 27th September 2019.”

(SURFACE DRESSING PROGRAMME (VARIOUS WARDS & ROADS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because surface dressing works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along sections of:
- Adel and Wharfedale – Kings Road, Eastgate, and Breary Lane;
- Alwoodley – Shadwell Lane Ring Road;
- Guiseley and Rawdon – Micklefield Road and Micklefield Lane;
- Horsforth – Troy Road and Low Lane;
- Hunslet and Riverside – Pepper Road and Sussex Avenue;
- Kirkstall – Burley Road;
- Little London and Woodhouse – Moorland Road;
- Middleton Park – Thorpe Road; Morley North – King George Avenue;
- Otley and Yeadon – Windmill Lane;
- Weetwood – Weetwood Lane and Monk Bridge Road.
Each section of road will only be closed for a short time during the Order period, dependent upon when the works are schedule and undertaken for that particular road. Local diversions will be signposted and advance road closure warning signs in place. Access to pedestrians, property and for emergency vehicles and construction traffic will be maintained.
Those works scheduled for weekdays will take place between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
Works scheduled for the weekend will take place either between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00; or alternatively between 09:30 and 15:30
in respect of busier roadsThe Order is intended to come into operation on 24 June 2019 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.
The works are expected to be completed by 27th September 2019.
