You may be interested in the email below which is in response to flooding issues you may be aware of in Pool during the recent heavy rain.
“We are already aware of this incident as it had been reported by neighbours. My colleague and I visited the area on September 13th and spoke to the Pub Manager and various residents including the gentleman who had reported the issue. We also carried out an initial survey of the drainage system that runs down the ginnel.
On Tuesday 24th September, our surveyors were on a nearby site visit with [the Highways Operations Manager] when the rainfall event occurred so they visited Millcroft and were able to see for themselves what the issues are. Highways Operations will be dealing with the surface water issues relating to the highway and Flood Risk Management will be pursuing the issues with the drainage system in the ginnel.
I have rung Yorkshire Water this morning for an update and have been told that a job has been raised for a de-silt as there is silt in the manhole chamber. I am awaiting a call back from YW for further details.”
