Met Office Warning / Flood Guidance Statement – UPDATE 3

For awareness, Flood Warnings issued for River Wharfe as follows:

  • River Wharfe at Billams Hill and riverside properties between Otley and Pool. Flooding is expected for: Properties on Billams Hill, The Sewage Works and properties and Farms between Otley and Pool.    Immediate action required. This flood warning has been issued due to quickly rising river levels in response to rainfall on Friday (21/02/20). The current river level at Otley is 1.1m and is expected to peak at a level of 1.8m at approximately 5am on Saturday (22/02/20). Areas of concern are the riverside properties between Otley and Pool.  Further bands of rainfall are expected over the coming days and river levels are expected to rise and fall.
  • Flood Warning in force: River Wharfe at Denton Road Ilkley. Flooding is expected for: Properties around Denton Road, Middleton Avenue and the Cricket, Football and Rugby Grounds, the sewage works and Denton Bridge. Immediate action required. This flood warning has been issued due to quickly rising river levels in response to rainfall on Friday (21/02/20). The current river level at Ilkley is 2.1m and is expected to peak at a level of 3.3m between 4am and 5am on Saturday (22/02/20). Areas of concern are properties around Denton Road, Middleton Avenue and the Cricket, Football and Rugby Grounds, the sewage works and Denton Bridge. Further bands of rainfall are expected over the coming days and river levels are expected to rise and fall.
  • Flood Warning in force: River Wharfe at Castley Lane. Flooding is expected for: Properties on Castley Lane from the A658 near Pool Bridge to Castley. Immediate action required. This flood warning has been issued due to quickly rising river levels in response to rainfall on Friday (21/02/20). The current river level at Pool Bridge is 2.4m and is expected to peak at a level of 3.7m between 6am and 7am on Saturday (22/02/20). Areas of concern are properties on Castley Lane from the A658 near Pool Bridge to Castley. Further bands of rainfall are expected over the coming days and river levels are expected to rise and fall.
  • Flood Warning in force: River Wharfe at Addingham. Flooding is expected for: High Mill and Olicana Caravan Park, Low Mill Village. Immediate action required. This flood warning has been issued due to quickly rising river levels in response to rainfall on Friday (21/02/20). The current level of the River Wharfe at Addingham is 2m and rising and is expected to peak at a level of 2.5m by 3am on Saturday (22/02/20). Areas of concern are High Mill, Olicana Caravan Park and Low Mill Village. Further bands of rainfall are expected over the coming days and river levels are expected to rise and fall.
