BROWN BIN COLLECTIONS AND RECYCLING CENTRES

Brown Bin Collections Restarting

  • Brown bin collections are restarting on Monday, 25th May!
  • Your collection day might be different. Check online or download the Leeds Bins app. You will also receive a letter with your new collection day.
  • Check what can go in your brown bin – www.leeds.gov.uk/brownbin

We’re expecting an unprecedented level of garden waste to be presented. If possible, we’ll have extra staff working on the brown bin collections to help with this. However, we can’t totally guarantee all brown bins will be collected in the first few weeks as we still need to prioritise black and green bins (which are currently 20% heavier than normal). We appreciate your patience while we get this service running again.

Recycling Centres

  • 7 recycling centres are now open – Meanwood, Middleton, Pudsey, Kirkstall, Seacroft, Yeadon and Wetherby.
  • You need to book an appointment to visit a centre. Book at www.leeds.gov.uk/recyclingsites No booking, no entry.
  • Here’s an insider tip – Seacroft, Meanwood and Middleton have been booking up fast but there’s plenty of slots going at Kirkstall.
  • Sites will be open on bank holiday Monday.
