ISSUES WITH MUD AND LARGE VOLUMES OF LORRIES IN CONNECTION WITH TAYLOR WIMPEY’S SITE AT MOSELEY WOOD BOTTOM

A large number of residents have raised concerns about the number of wagons queueing to get into the Taylor Wimpey site and also the amount of mud on surrounding roads. The response from the Site Manager to me taking these issues up with him is below:

“Regarding the recent complaints of silty water on the roads our contractors have put an additional road sweeper for today, tomorrow and Friday. This machine is purely for the traffic management route in and out of site. The TW road sweeper will concentrate on the main road within site to alleviate the majority of silty water. We have also got a wheel wash facility on site which our labourer will clean off the wheels & the under carriage as much as possible.

The vehicles coming onto site have a holding area approx. 1 mile from site and do not enter onto Moseley Wood Rise until 8 o’clock now. I waited with our Banksman this morning and vehicles starting arriving at this time with no obstructions to any drives.

I walked the TM route on Moseley Wood Gardens this morning and spoke to a few residents explaining all of the above and apologised for any inconvenience. The ones I spoke to were all very understanding.”
