Leeds Road through Bramhope – New Road Layout on Tuesday 1st September planned

Please find below the latest update I have received from Highways in connection with the highways works for the Miller Homes development.

The area of carriageway and footway, (on Leeds Road at its junction with The Poplars) which have been cordoned off for the last few months, will be reopened next Tuesday 1st September

1. The Leeds Road outbound footway from The Birches to opposite High Ridge Way will be accessible to pedestrians.

2. The vehicle access onto The Poplars from Leeds Road will be reopened. (The temporary road closure will be removed)

3. The new Leeds Road/The Poplars roundabout will be opened. The traffic management currently in place will be changed and motorists will then travel though the new roundabout as they normally would around a roundabout.

On the day, there will be temporary traffic management in place as the ‘switch over’ takes place and there may be some disruptions through the day, however we will make all efforts to have this go as smoothly as possible.

Lastly, the works are weather permitting, therefore should there be adverse weather on the day, the switch over will be postponed.
