I have been asked by a number of residents to explain how they can contribute to the next batch of consultations on the various walking and cycling proposals. Set out below is the response from Connecting Leeds:
“Dear Cllr Anderson,
Thank you for your email. I am pleased to say we are progressing with the implementation of schemes across Leeds City Region. So far we have implemented many social distancing provision across towns and districts to support the safe opening of shops and businesses as lock down has been eased.
We have undertaken Phase one of our consultation, started in June, we asked the public to provide feedback on where people would like to see interventions. We had an overwhelming response with over 25,000 comments/agreements – the link to the consultation for this phase is HERE – please add your comments as this is going to remain open and will eventually feed into our transport strategies.
We are now in Phase two where we have identified interventions from the above and are starting to implement these on the ground. The second phase of consultation is live as more schemes come into delivery stages. The link to these are also on our consultation platform Commonplace – HERE. These are broken down into four themes.”
