I have received the information below from the Highways Engineer in respect of further planned road works in Bramhope to facilitate the Miller Homes development:
“We have two planned areas of works programmed for the coming weeks.
From Wed 23rd – Fri 25th September 2020 between 19.30-23.30hrs, we will be carrying out cleaning of the gullies and the drainage system on the A660 Leeds Road under traffic light control.
Then commencing Monday 28th September 2020, we will be planning out and laying the final carriageway surface course on the A660 Leeds Road. The area will be from Kings Road roundabout to its junction with High Ridge Way.
The surfacing works are programmed to be carried out over 6-8 working days depending on the weather (weekdays only), off peak hours 09.30 – 15.30 hrs.
The table below shows the affected side roads;
|Road affected||Comment/diversion route|
|The Birches – Road Closure.||Vehicle access will be prohibited from turning in/out of The Birches onto A660 Leeds Road. Residents within the Trees are to use The Poplars to access/exit. The diversion route will be signed on street on the day.
|The Poplars – Road Closure||Vehicle access will be prohibited from turning in/out of The Poplars onto A660 Leeds Road. Residents within the Trees are to use either The Birches or Wynmore Ave to access/exit. The diversion routes will be signed on street on the day.|
|High Ridge Way||The mouth of High Ridge Way (at its junction with A660 Leeds Road) will be surfaced. There will be some disruptions however surfacing will be done in two halves, thus still allowing access into/out of the cul-de-sac.|
We will endeavour to keep you updated if any changes to this programme occur.
During/after the works, there will be no white lining along this section of the A660 Leeds Road. ‘No Road Markings’ warning signs will be in place until the new white lining and cat’s eyes are installed which will follow soon after, along with the implementation of the 2 no. pedestrian crossings.
